Mad Dog ATAK II, Super Rare B Series

Mad Dog ATAK II, super rare B series knife.

Only 10 of these knives were made by Mad Dog.

Quoting from Kevin AKA Mad Dog McClung:

This is the rarest of the military SEAL ATAKs.

There were only ten of these made. They were produced on the cusp of the design and marking changes mandated by the US Navy in 1993.

So, no more of this pattern were ever made.

Five (consecutively numbered) of these were used in the movie “Under Siege II” and disappeared into Seagal’s footlocker, and the rest went to NAVSPECWAR for demos… except this one, the last one, #B10.
I kept it, forgot about it, and found it while cleaning out the safe last week.

The last one of these B series blades that sold went for $10,000.00 at a Safari Club International benefit auction several years ago. Stephen Seagal donated one of his for the fundraiser.

The blade is a hand ground SEAL ATAK blade with hand cut file work, false edge, bright hard chrome and it is the first serrated ATAK pattern. Hand ground composite grip.

Kevin sold B10 for $8,000 in February of 2006.

I will sell this one for $9,000.

Early Vietnam era dive knife by Randall

Early Vietnam era dive knife by Randall.

These seem to be much harder to find that the model 14s and 15s.  This knife has the very desirable “separate S” logo and unlined thong hole, along with the earlier greenish black micarta handle. Comes with the original waxed rough back dive sheath.  This knife is in mint condition. Appears to have been stored in the sheath and never used. Sheath shows some marks/discoloration from storage and banging against stuff.

$1,595.00.

Kiffe Vietnam era Fighting Knife

Vietnam era Kiffe fighting knife.

Blade is a blued M-3 style blade, 6.5 inches long with leather riveted sheath. Knife has a metal lanyard loop on the butt.  Blade is marked Kiffe Japan.  You will recall that Kiffe made the Marine Recon knife during the war as well.  Sheath has scratches and storage wear, blade shows no signs of use.  There is some rust on the lanyard end at the butt.

United States Navy SEALS Combat Utility Knife

THIS IS A UNITED STATES NAVY SEALS COMBAT UTILITY KNIFE (CUK) DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED BY PHROBIS.

THIS IS IN MINT CONDITION. THE KNIFE APPEARS IN THE BOOK “THE MILITARY KNIFE AND BAYONET” BY BRET ON PAGE 338. I QUOTE FROM THE BOOK “PHROBIS DESIGNED AND BUILT THESE TWO COMPLETELY STERILE MODELS OF THE COMBAT UTILITY KNIFE (CUK) UNDER CONTRACT FOR THE U. S. NAVY SEALS. THE FIRST MODEL HAD A FALSE EDGE THAT WAS BEVELED ON BOTH SIDES, BUT IT PROVED TOO WEAK. THE LOWER, SECOND MODEL KNIFE IS MUCH STRONGER.”. THIS ONE IS THE SECOND MODEL. BLADE IS STERILE, THAT IS NO MARKINGS. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE KNIFE AND SHEATH IS PERFECT. PROPER DOLPHIN MARKINGS ON THE REAR OF THE SHEATH. YOU WILL NOT FIND ONE BETTER AND YOU DO NOT SEE THESE THAT OFTEN. THIS COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL ISSUE BOX AS WELL.
