Only 10 of these knives were made by Mad Dog.

There were only ten of these made. They were produced on the cusp of the design and marking changes mandated by the US Navy in 1993.

So, no more of this pattern were ever made.

Five (consecutively numbered) of these were used in the movie “Under Siege II” and disappeared into Seagal’s footlocker, and the rest went to NAVSPECWAR for demos… except this one, the last one, #B10.
I kept it, forgot about it, and found it while cleaning out the safe last week.

The last one of these B series blades that sold went for $10,000.00 at a Safari Club International benefit auction several years ago. Stephen Seagal donated one of his for the fundraiser.

The blade is a hand ground SEAL ATAK blade with hand cut file work, false edge, bright hard chrome and it is the first serrated ATAK pattern. Hand ground composite grip.

Kevin sold B10 for $8,000 in February of 2006.

KEVIN TOLD ME THAT THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF HIS FIRST 10 HEADS, AND THINKS IT WAS BLUED BY THE PURCHASER.  HE ORIGINALLY SOLD OR GAVE THE HEADS ONLY TO THE CUSTOMER, SO THIS HANDLE HAS BEEN ADDED BY SOMEONE AT SOME TIME (NOT KEVIN). AS I AM GUESSING YOU KNOW, KEVIN’S AXES GO FOR $4000-$7000+ DOLLARS FOR HIS CURRENT WORKS, WHEN/IF YOU CAN GET THEM.  I BELIEVE THAT HE MAKES ONLY A COUPLE A YEAR, AND THOSE ARE AUCTIONED OFF.  THIS AXE DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN USED.  THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A REAL WORK OF ART.  KEEP IN MIND THAT SHIPPING CHARGES ARE GOING TO BE UP THERE ON THIS, AND I AM GUESSING IT WILL GO OUT UPS, IT IS HEAVY AND IT IS GOING TO BE OVERSIZED.
